Gratitude
#SimonSays: Starting your day with gratitude is the easiest way to be a more positive and joyful person. Happiness tends to ebb and flow based on circumstances and achievements, but joy is a state of *being*.
David Steindl-Rast once said, “It’s not joy that makes us grateful. It’s gratitude that makes us joyful."
Cultivate more joy into your life by writing down three things you're thankful for everyday. Say them out loud at the dinner table with your family. It's a simple habit that can totally shift your mindset and make you more optimistic. I implore you to make this a part of your daily routine.
Finish the Year Strong
#SimonSays: Instead of waiting to make New Year’s resolutions, take action now by creating bite-sized, buildable habits that get you closer to achieving your goals.
A Positive Mindset
#SimonSays: In a world full of negativity and stress, looking at things from a positive perspective is so important.
It helps you make better choices in alignment with your goals. Being optimistic energizes you and it makes the life you experience so much better. It inspires the people around you.
Life can be hard. That’s why having a system in place that helps you maintain an optimistic outlook is imperative.
COVID Chronicles
This is my first #SimonSays of 2022, and it begins with my husband and I testing positive for COVID-19. We were both vaccinated, and I had recently gotten boosted.
My hope in sharing this is that if we all take precautions, and do the things we can control, we will be out of this pandemic soon.
As a journalist, it’s my mission to be transparent with you. It’s also my goal to debunk misinformation with credible research, sources and facts.
Please be safe, and take care of yourself and your family.
The Four Agreements
THE FOUR AGREEMENTS Don Miguel Ruiz’s Four Agreements gives us wisdom and freedom from our limiting beliefs.
#SimonSays: Your happiness is up to you.
These principles are a guide to living a more peaceful, drama-free life:
Be impeccable with your word.
Don’t take anything personally.
Don’t make assumptions.
Always do your best.
