Hi! I’m Laura-

An Emmy Award-winning anchor, reporter, mentor and motivational speaker. While I thrive in the fast pace of tight deadlines, being live on camera and breaking news, I’m just as passionate about using my platform to uplift and inspire. Every week, I share encouragement through my #SimonSaysSunday segments — a reminder that journalism isn’t just about informing, but also empowering.

As a St. Louis native, my goal was always to work for FOX 2 News. That dream is now a reality. I anchor weekend mornings there from 6-9 a.m. and am a general assignment reporter during the week, filling in on the anchor desk for other newscasts as needed.

Before returning home, I spent eight years at KFSM in Northwest Arkansas, where I was promoted from weekend morning anchor to lead weekday morning anchor in 2018. My on-air career began at KODE in Joplin, Missouri, and KTVO in Kirksville, Missouri/Ottumwa, Iowa.

At FOX 2, I channel my passion for health and wellness into our weekly Medical Minute reports. I’m also deeply involved in the community. I’m proud to serve as the three-year Blue Team Captain for Guns N’ Hoses, an annual event that raises at least $1 million for the families of fallen first responders. I also sit on the Young Professionals Board of the Cancer Support Community of St. Louis, where I’ve helped rebrand their social media presence to expand their reach and highlight the organization’s no-cost resources for cancer patients and their families.

I’m a proud graduate of Columbia College Chicago, where I landed a competitive internship at NBC Chicago during my sophomore year—an experience that helped shape the tragectory of my career.

I believe in working hard and creating your own life. I surround myself with people who inspire me and encourage me to be my best self. My mission in everything I do is to be a source of calm, trust and positivity. I welcome you to visit this site any time you are looking for these things.
